Roxas finished smashing the computer, the one that ruined his life. He swung around angrily and stalked off into an unknown room where he found Sora, fast asleep.

DiZ appeared before him. His eyes narrowed, his hand clenched tightly around the keyblade as he swung it back and forth wildly, attempting to attack him. He was familiar. He was the one who did this to him. It was all about that Sora!

"My heart is my own!" Roxas cried, spinning around. Everything has gone white.

When Roxas awakened, he found himself face to face with....

[Lea swats at him with his clean hand while licking the frosting off.]

Keep your mess to yourself!

[Roxas laughs a little.]

I'm going to shower.

Not a bad idea.

[Lea follows him down the hall a bit before pausing outside the bathroom and leaning on the wall.]

I'd say you're the only guy I know who needs to shower after baking a cake, but...

[They both know Sora's probably at home doing the same thing.]

Not true! Anyway, I think you'll like the cake so don't eat it without me. I wanna see you eat it!

[He grins and disappears into the bathroom because he's covered in batter and flour.]

[He's afraid of eating that thing, but he'll give in and do it. He always gives in. But first, he might as well try to clean up as much of the kitchen as he can. Roxas and Sora tried, but...well...they tried. He's washing dishes (and bowls and utensils and half the contents of the kitchen, really) by the time Roxas is finished in the shower.]

[He comes back to the kitchen all clean, his hair soft and fluffy after he dried it. He grins at Lea.]

Okay, I'm clean now. Let's have cake!

[Lea can't pass up the chance to ruffle Roxas' hair when it's extra fluffy like that, so he indulges himself.]

You just made that thing because you want to eat it.

I made it cause it's your birthday soon and Sora said that's what you do!

[He also wants to eat it, but he'll deny it for now.]

Right. And it has nothing at all to do with that sweet tooth of yours.

[Lea gets out plates and forks. He's not sure he trusts Roxas to cut the cake on his own, but he'll let him try, at least.]

Did you get me presents, too, or did Sora forget to tell you about that part?

He did tell me and I got you a present.

[But cake Lea. Cake first! He brings over a knife, peering at the cake. Well they could just eat it as it is couldn't they?]

Oh yeah? What is it?

[Okay, so that's cheating, but Lea's sneaky.]

Am I supposed to tell you that?

[Roxas blinks. Sora didn't say he had to tell Lea what it was.]

[Dude, it's no fun if you're going to be that gullible.]

Nah, I'm just messin' with ya. You're supposed to surprise me with it on my birthday. You gonna cut that cake or what?

Hmm, okay!

[Roxas takes the knife and cuts into the cake. One cut is okay, then he moves the knife and makes a triangle. He pulls the piece out slowly. It definitely looks like cake.]

[Lea watches skeptically. He's not eating a bite until Roxas has. He'd like to live to see his birthday, thank you.]

[Rude, Lea. Roxas puts one piece on the plate then another. It looks like cake, chocolate cake with white frosting. It's a little thick, but Roxas takes a big bite.

There's a pause.]

Hey it's great!

Yeah?

[Then he'll brave a bite. It's...well, it's no surprise that Roxas would think that it's great. It seems to have been made with "when in doubt, add more sugar" as the backbone of the recipe, but it's edible and the kids had meant well, so he'll eat it.]

Not bad for a first try.

Thanks! We worked really hard on it.

[It is full of sugar, but Roxas is pleased with it all the same. It came out looking like cake, even after the whole mess in the kitchen.]

I could tell. You worked pretty hard on trashing the kitchen, too. What were you two even doing?

[A little mess on the counter he could understand, but...]

Well we couldn't really agree on some things, that's all. Sora threw flour in my hair.

If you're gonna fight, take it outside! Geez, one of these days I'm gonna come home to a smoking crater.

[And here he is scolding the kids about playing nice in the house. He really is getting old.]

No you won't, we didn't set anything on fire!

[Roxas gives an odd glance to the side. Well, nothing important anyway.]

What did you set on fire?!

[Don't think he didn't see that!]

It was just a teatowel! I swear! It kinda touched the thing in the stove and it caught fire!

You owe me another tea towel.

[At least he got a cake to make up for it. Though it's lucky they didn't actually burn the house down.]

No baking without an adult from now on.
